About the Website

The idea of creating EZLOGIC began in December 2020 as part of a web design project of a Computer Science subject, and is originated by Wayne Dayata. Its purpose was to import and organize all the notes taken from the different classes in a website. This idea became more evidently needed as classes nowadays has been shifted to online-distance format instead of the traditional face-to-face format, limiting the time and effectiveness of the interaction between the learner and the teacher.

This educational website will also benefit students who are missing their synchronous classes due to technical reasons since they can access the site to catch up on the essential topics. Aside from creating the pages dedicating to the brief discussion of each topic of study, the developer also decided to create a simple yet interactive quiz to wrap up the students' learning and to correct common mistakes for the topic concerned.

Currently, the website is still on its initial development phase as the developer is currently learning the fundamentals of web designing, thereby experimenting with various elements and attributes that can help improve the overall quality and user experience of the website by adding more functionalities and interactive designs. The first four topics seen in the lessons page currently serve as the demo to visualize the site output as these will be the basis of site optimization and improvement.

This site will be further expanded gradually by the addition of topics as the developer progresses through the courses. Also, the EZ Tutorial series will be expanded to other fieilds such as programming, networking, and web designing as soon as there is sufficient content.

About the Author

Wayne Dayata is the author of EZLOGIC's lessons and the creator of its graphics. Although he is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Computer science for the purpose of working in the IT and Computer industry to further assist big companies in developing their system softwares, he also has a very big ambition of doing teaching jobs to share his learnings, thoughts, and some tactics to the future generation to keep the momemtum going. With the evidence brought by the pandemic, the best method of delivering instructional materials is through effective use of illustrations via various technologies and platforms such as videos, interactive slideshow presentations, and websites.

Wayne finished his Elementary education in Hong Kong and completed his Secondary Education in PCGS in 2020 through the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand. Since high school, he had a taste for the CS field and enjoyed the challenge. He also helped his fellow classmates by clarifing concepts, and through those experiences he observed common problems and mistakes that students have and make. It was through these sessions that he was able to figure out which techniques generally helped himself and his students to succeed.

Below are some of the achievements he obtained to date:

  • Consistent honor student in English and Chinese Studies, Grades 9-12 (2016-2020)
  • Area Stage (Visayas) Qualifier - 20th, 21st, and 22nd Philippine Mathematical Olympiad, Grades 10-12 (2017-2019)
  • Second place - Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge (Regional Finals - Region 7), Grade 10 (March 2018)
  • Second place - University of the Philippines Junior High Programming Competition, Grade 10 (March 2018)
  • Awardee - SHARP Philippines Excellence Awards for Math and Science, Grade 11 (April 2019)
  • Fourth place - DepEd Cebu City Science Project Proposal On The Spot Contest (Senior High Division), Grade 12 (October 2019)
  • Champion - DepEd Cebu City District Level Speed Math Competition, Grade 12 (November 2019)
